Company History

Neese Exploration Company was formed by Urban E. Neese in 1952, providing several geophysical services to the oil, gas, and mining industries around the world, including seismic, gravity and magnetic surveys. Gravity Map Service was formed as a division of Neese Exploration Company in the late 1970s, primarily to initiate the acquisition of proprietary high resolution gravity data for precision exploration projects.

Neese Instrument Company was formed by Robert Neese in the 1970s to support data acquisition by Neese Exploration and to also sell and rent gravity meters and magnetometers. The Worden Gravity Meter was a division of Texas Instruments for many years after being acquired from Sam Worden. Worden was then subsequently acquired by Robert Neese from Halliburton Geophysical Services in 1990.

Worden Gravity Meter Company manufactures, services and sells the Worden gravity meter products.
